This blog is, in part, inspired by the seminal work of Harry Frankfurt, whose essay On Bullshit remains one of the most insightful explorations of deception, indifference to truth, and the strategic use of language. Beyond Frankfurt’s contributions, I also draw from behavioural science, psychology, and research on misinformation, fields that continue to shed light on how and why bullshit thrives in modern discourse.

The choice to use the word bullshit is intentional—though it may be offensive to some, it serves a precise function. Bullshit is not just misinformation or lies; it is a particular kind of communication, indifferent to truth, shaped by context, and often strategically employed. This blog aims to examine bullshit from a functional perspective, exploring how it operates linguistically, socially, and psychologically.

At its core, this is both a personal hobby and a space for critical discussion. The goal is not just to critique nonsense but to encourage thoughtful engagement, cultivate discernment, and foster a more reflective approach to the flood of misleading, superficial, and manipulative information we encounter daily.
